I am nowhere near you but lots of people have driven from the bay area for me to help them with their AK barrel work.
I do the work while you wait so it's only one road trip.

Barrel, sight and trigger work on most pistols and shotguns.
    Most work performed while-you-wait.

Thank you for the help. It would be about a 6 hour drive to get down there. Can i ship it to you?

I work on barrels and parts through the mail, but not firearms receivers.
I only do firearms receiver work by in-person shop visit.
The upside to that is that it's done that same day, while you wait.

You could check with JG Gunsmith in Granite Bay but I don't know if they work on AKs.

Not sure if they're full-service, but try Nor Cal Gun Vault in Rocklin? I remember they have an on-site gunsmith the last time I was there..

I have been there very many times. I don't think they do anything more than the most basic of basic armorer level stuff - perhaps cleaning, sight installs, maybe AR trigger swaps.

JG seem to have a rep for not liking AR's from what I remember. Doubt they would look favorably on an AK. I went there once for a simple chamber ironing on an old peened .22 pistol barrel that they refused to touch since I did not bring the entire gun. Fine, but they were dicks about it.

Trinity Gunsmithing in Antioch has always been good to me. Chris is great.

I took an old .22LR Erma Werke (Luger clone) barrel to them and had to talk them into reaming the chamber deeper for me. They wanted the whole gun. They did relent though and a couple weeks later I picked the barrel up and it was good to go.
