I have a P226 EQ with scratches on the slide. I would like to have it re-brushed. Does anybody know of a refinisher in the Sacramento area? I could ship it if the best work is found elsewhere. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated.
I would probably try it myself, but there is a retaining pin which protrudes above the flats, and I am not a smith, so I would rather not try to take it apart. Whenever I take a gun apart, something always goes "sproing", and I am hunting for very small parts in my garage. I have been lucky so far, and have always managed to find all the parts, and reassemble the gun OK. I don't want to push my luck, though. This unit cost too much.
