Bob Grieder is a great guy. His company, Grieder Precision is the source for one of the few forged 1911 slide stops. Guys like Dave Berryhill, Hilton Yam, and Nighthawk get their slide stops from Bob. I wanted to pick up a few Grieder slide stops so I called them and Bob said to drop by to get them. His office is also his house and when I went by, he was finishing lunch in the kitchen with Ron Phillips, then of Nighthawk Custom! I've never seen his custom pistolsmithing, but he makes some of the best firearms parts in the business and nobody has heard of him because he mostly only sells to the trade.

I thought Grieder made those high end triggers for 1911's?? The super nice custom builders use them pretty often as i remember.

I don't know any 1911 guys in San Diego- Bob Brown passed away this year. I'd try Will O'Hare in Corona. Here's a thread with his phone number
