    Ebay 1911 comps

    Hello,
I hope all is well. I have always wanted to know out of curiosity if those ebay comps really work or are they BS. I know there are quality parts but I'm interested in these ebay parts for a budget build.

I have never shot a compensated pistol and wanted to get my feet wet. I am specifically referring to the comps that replaces the barrel bushing. I am shooting a 9mm 1911 if it makes any difference. I know a member here made a clamp on comp, however that would require a seven (7) inch barrel. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Since the hole the bullet passes through is bigger than the size of the barrel. what ever effect it was going to have is seriously compromised by the lack of tight bullet clearance.

They are mostly just for looks and little else.

Do not try and bend the spoon, that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth...there is no spoon.

I have one for my 45. It look cool but I don’t feel any different about recoils. I bought it for looks anyway

I vote BS-just for looks type deal.

It's as useful as a glock titanium coated stainless steel channel liner.

there isn't any significant muzzle flip on a 9mm 1911, spend the money on something else

As others have mentioned, 9mm will not fill the exit tube enough to cause any reduction in muzzle flip.
I have tried these, I suggest you pass on it.
