    Removing 1911 ejector

I have an ejector on a homebuild that is stuck. Yes, I removed the pin, but I can't pull or pry this little sucker off. Is there another way without damaging it?

Reason being, the barrel seat I cut with a rounded hand file is reasonably within spec, the gun fires without issue, but I just bought the Matrix Precision Barrel seat cutter to clean it up a bit, and I would like to use it.

If it means destroying the ejector, forcing me to get a new one, then so be it.

On a last thought, I'll laugh my arse off if the barrel seat doesn't cut anything extra off.

Turn the frame upside down, grab the ejector in a smooth jawed bench vise. The frame will be over hanging the vise. Gently tap the frame on the closest point near the ejector upward. This should walk the ejector out of the frame.

Is the ejector caught on the breach face? if it is then pry it over with a screwdriver and tap it out..

I think you're thinking extractor in the slide. I'm referring to the nub that pins to the frame.
