    Star Firestar M43 rant

I've spent the good amount of the entire day trying to put my dad's M43 back together from a mess of parts, and I swear this thing must have been assembled by half-inch tall magic leprechauns. Just about every tiny piece is strung with 3 other tiny pieces using loose pins held in place by obnoxiously strong springs.

I've scoured the net looking for a complete assembly guide, but it appears both the manufacturer and the importer have since gone bankrupt, and no one has a detailed guide. Does anyone have any experience putting these pistols together? Particularly, is there a specific order I should install the hammer unit, the ejector unit, or the mainspring unit to prevent headaches?

Thanks for trying, but I do have the manual, which only covers the basic field strip. I've been trying to reinstall every part just based off the exploded diagram, and the entire trigger assembly has me baffled.

Have anyone done a full strip of the pistol?

I am located in the SF Bay Area. If anyone can help, I'd be grateful

I have managed to get the mainspring back in, as well as the paddle (I'm guessing this is the sear). However, the hammer is proving difficult due to the really strong mainspring, and the sear being directly above the mainspring, leaving very little room for the hammer strut and hammer to align with the pin. Any advice?

WOOHOO! Mission accomplished. Turns out the secret is to build a hook for the hammer spring, and sprout 2 extra pairs of hands. Needless to say, this pistol is never getting detail stripped again
