    Upgrading a Sig 226

Ran into some issues. Actually a dumb move on my part. Worked out though. The feeling is satisfaction.

    ????
What was the modification? What was the issue? What was the correction? A little more info would be beneficial instead of some random post.

Praying you 226 doesn't blow up in your typing hand.

The P226 is actually pretty easy to completely disassemble and reassemble. There are plenty of videos available online that can help, and if you do it once you'll be ready to do all kinds of at-home work on your gun.

I can't tell from your initial post what your modification entailed, but installing an SRT is a great upgrade, and a very good way to learn how the gun works.

This is quickie, in part because of blow-back, but also because it helps no one if I am inaccurate or lacking in detail. I've been installing some Grayguns enhancements. I discovered that some 226's have SRT already installed, as did mine. That threw me because the parts in the picture of the "standard model" differed from what I had. End result I installed in in reverse. Correction made. Still not perfect, but getting there.

Comment about learning is so true. Unlike some I realize that I have a ton to learn. I'm not ashamed about that, it actually gives me a challenge.

Be a hater of me ... I don't care. Be a hater of my friends ... I do care. Why such an anger issue smoothy? What did Guffey ever do to you?

I had the same problem when I upgraded my 226 Navy. It was a great modification that was sorely needed, I had a hard time believing that Sig didn't send the gun out with it as standard equipment. Hard to believe that Seals wouldn't have it on theirs.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...
