Oh, they screwed it up good.
If that's already a 14.5" barrel, you are looking at going back to 13.8" long and perhaps attaching a Noveske KX3.

Barrel, sight and trigger work on most pistols and shotguns.
    Most work performed while-you-wait.

Call it post ban and shoot it.
Let us hope our weapons are never needed --but do not forget what the common people knew when they demanded the Bill of Rights: An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws."

Please tell us you didn't that. There are more humane ways to skin a cat.

Re thread it -- Single point it -- You still have three full threads and some partial ones that will provide some holding and support. Perhaps add another set screw closer to the muzzle on the opposite side.

                What length barrel is it?

I would do what Mr. Rausch said.

Personally I'd part off the threaded portion, target crown, cold-blue the end and call it done IF you still have more than 16" from breechface to muzzle.

If this work would make it shorter than 16" then I'd probably either turn down the threaded portion to make it smooth (purely for cosmetics), or part it off and solder/pin a barrel extension to make it legal length.

I wish I could take the blame for this mutilation.. The culprit will remain nameless..

Bought it "dirt" cheap.. .. I managed to clean up the existing threads and added a suppresor.. I now need to have it pinned to be compliant.

                      Thanks for all the tips...

That kind of force can distort the bore's shape... gotta cut it off.

If he is worried about that it can be chucked up in a lathe and checked for runout.

Here's one where the bore was definetly squished...
