need help taking off rear sight on mosin

i am trying to use a punch and punch out the pin with a hammer so i can install my scout scope. No luck it's not moving. I tried some clp and wd40 haha to see if that would help but no go. Suggestions?

Haha my M44 just came right out! damn I guess I'll throw the scope on that one instead of the m38

Argh still need help! I got the pin out to remove the sight but I need to remove the spring or the piece of metal that sits below it. Anyone?

The pin might be soldier(sp?) on with the rear sight. Heat, Tap, heat , tap the pin then heat, the rear sight housing and bang it out.

Argh now I finally got it out!! Now this mount just sucks!

Haha I remounted it and it's nice and tight! I got the scope on and will post pictures in the next day or two.

Hey so I took of the mount and trying to drift out the rear sight still. There is the pin that holds the sight in place and the rear pin that I CANNOT TAKE OUT. I am using a punch and a hammer and it is NOT working.
