The guy in the video is avoiding "climb milling". IF a small portion of the cutter is in the work the pull on on the table is less.
If you come in from the side and move the table into the work bad things can happen fast. More tool is in the works so it pushes back harder. For instance If the y axis has slop in the nut, and it will, it is possible to snatch the work into the tool due to the pull of the cutter. When that happens the work is ruined and tool is broken. That is why you need to move the work against the cutter so that it is pushing into the table feed screw slop. In other works the chips should be pushed ahead of the progress of the cut. Sorry if that is confusing, it is hard to write.Comment
