    It would be much better to demill the funky rivet and set a new rivet than to swap in a new trunnion.

    Also, hopefully its the rear trunnion because a front trunnion swap is basically the same as building a whole new gun from a parts kit which is what you have when you strip all the parts off the barrel and remove the front trunnion from the receiver.
    Besides a new front trunnion, you will likely need a new barrel as it's only pure luck if your old barrel will headspace correctly with the new trunnion when the barrel pin aligns correctly.
    That means re-populating the old parts on to the new barrel after the new barrel is headspaced and cross-pinned into the new front trunnion.
