I finally found all the parts for my Armalite Style AR-10 but they're not working together. All the upper parts are supposedly Armalite but bought the barreled upper and bolt carrier group off gunbroker so no guarantees. The lower receiver is Aero Precision. I have two primary problems that I hope are tied to 1 part for cost sake.
Problem 1 is that when I insert the BCG and charging handle into the upper and push them completely forward they then bind up when I try to pull back on the charging handle. After quite a bit of force I get an inch or so of rearward movement and I can then separate them and they move smoothly again.
Problem 2 is the upper will not mate with the lower. Even without charging handle and BCG, the rear takedown pin will not go through the hole in the upper receiver.
Does anyone have dimensions for the upper receiver, BCG, and/or charging handle so that I can try to determine which part(s) is causing the issues.
