Hello neighbors. I have a Siamese Mauser that was re-barrelled to 45-70. The bolt face needs to be opened up a little.
It will chamber cases if the rim diameter is .600" or less. But some of my cases are .608-.610". These won't sit flush on the bolt face and won't chamber.
I have been shooting 20 cases that I have turned down the rims on. But I may sell this rifle soon and I would like to tell the new owner that it will work with any brass that you want to use.
There is not a not of material left but I think it would be possible.
Are there any gunsmiths on here that would like to do this for me? Or any recommendations for a gunsmith?
Thanks in advance for your help. If it matters I live in Sacramento County.
P.S. If you don't want to make a public recommendation or if you have words of caution for me please feel free to PM me. Thanks
