Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter for the Windham 308

Has anyone tried to install this kit on a Windham WW-308?
The rear takedown pin on the WW-308 is the same same size as the .223 and the Hellfighter 308 kit is too big and too long. The .223 fits but does not quite work. Thanks

Does the windham lower have the takedown detent spring pointed towards the pistol grip or towards the buffer tube?

Typical AR-15 lower has the detent and spring pointed towards the buffer tube so the hellfighter button is machined accordingly.
If your windham lower has the detent and spring pointed towards the pistol grip, the solution is to drill a new hole for the detent and spring that points towards the buffer tube and then install the detent and spring from that end of the receiver.
This will get the hellfighter button aligned correctly in your lower.

Barrel, sight and trigger work on most pistols and shotguns.
    Most work performed while-you-wait.

Yup, pointed to the grip, first one I've encountered in 308 with a standard size rear takedown pin. Going to consider your suggestion, but consult my customer first. Thanks

This thing is just not Mil Spec or 308 industry specs. A new detent/spring hole is not gonna work. Customer will have to go with the shark fin in this case.

It can work if you want it to.
Yes, the distance is longer (which is WHY they drill the hole from the grip instead of the back) so you have to put a spacer behind the spring.
That sling swivel hole is potentially a hassle for drilling the hole but you can shorten the detent spring and use a longer spacer pin behind the spring so that the spacer pin spans the opening of the sling swivel hole if the detent spring hole happens to intersect that sling swivel hole.

A trick for drilling across an intersecting hole is to make a plug for the hole of the same material as the base material so that the drill bit goes through the plug instead of into open air.
When you are done drilling the new hole, remove the plug or leave it in if it looks better plugged.

Update, I found this kit I had and it will work on this Windham WW308 just one simple modification to the mag lock.
