    Opinions on Criterion Barrels

Thinking of ordering a Remage barrel for a Remington 700 30-06
    22" or 24"
Anyone have personal experience with Criterion?
    Overall quality, Accuracy ?
Should I order a new Recoil lug?
    Thanks

Good reputation. I do not have any experience with them, however.

CMP Special M1 Garands use Criterion barrels. That's a pretty strong endorsement. I am very happy with mine.

Got a 24" AR bull barrel from them. That thing's heavy, but very precise.

I have seen m1 garand barrels that were not match out shoot match barrels. My brother in law had a ar10 barrel its was great. I am saving my milk money to get the m110 barrel . Buy with confidence. They have great service.

Criterion's are basically pull-buttoned Krieger's. I have no experience with them other than US Service Rifle barrels ( M1903, M1917, Krag, M1, M1 Carbine, and M14) but I can tell you they are usually tighter tolerances and better fit of the extremities than USGI.
                  Good stuff.

I have 2 of them, 6.5x55 and 284 win on Savage actions. Both shoot excellent and the finish is really nice. Easily moa and probably closer to half moa or better. I have a Krieger in 308 and can’t really tell the difference.
