Rebarrel, or cut down?

If I have this, which would be the easier and or cheaper route to cut weight?

Rebarrel with a 16" sporter profile, or cut down the 24" to 16" and thread, and maybe flute and cerakote?

Cheapest to cut.

Someone can also turn the barrel down to a thinner profile.

I would probably do a combo- cut to 20" and thread the muzzle, then reduce barrel diameter maybe 20%.

Cut it to 20” it will make it lighter and balance better.

What is the intended use for this action? You wont lose as much weight as you might think by lopping off the barrel.
