    HK 94 pistol

A recent for sale thread got me thinking, could someone build a HK 94 receiver flat into a pistol? I've always liked the look of the mp5 k and assuming I could get the parts it would be an awesome project.

So, would it be possible and how much would it cost?

Just an fyi! The original HK94 that was a pistol version was the model HK SP89. I used to have one... and I miss that baby! In the 80's they were only about $600.00 at B&B gun store.

It was a long time ago I was into the ol skool HK's so I am not on the up-up on the price and parts..
not really... the MP5K/SP89 use a different receiver than an HK94. You can see the differences in the cocking tube.

Yes, you could still build one from a flat, but good luck finding parts. The flats are non-existent and kits are rare.

Before you dump 5k into an hk, check out Prexis P-9 (sorry, new, can't post link). It"s not the same but close if you're into building your own weapons. Also check out Weapons Guild for the Prexis P-9. It uses AR parts so if you want to make a carbine, it would take a standard AR mag lock.

There are a couple of hk94 copies but I hear they are picky with ammo. I had never seen or heard of a Lusa. Interesting.

I actually have a pair of kits... I just haven't had time to start these projects.

I haven't been active on info on this since I got busy with other things, but my memory was that the SP89 requires a different receiver. Are you saying that's incorrect?

I used to have an original folding stock and a forend pistol grip when I lived in WA. state . But to make it look like PDW, I had to acquire a class 3 federal tax stamp. I no longer have this baby!

Here are the parts I installed to convert to PDW:

And here's a good website that has parts:

I have thought about that a few times. would have to bend a few flats to make it worth it.
