You can buy a dinzag 14x1 threading die and thread alignment tool and do it yourself for around $50. I sold my kit.

I'm not in Fresno, but I get a few people that come see me from Fresno.
I can thread your barrel and swap the front sight base while you wait if you schedule a time to come over to my shop.

Try Central Valley Guns in Selma. They are a full service gunsmith and gun store. Great people. Very busy though.

I am in Oakhurst and can do it for you. M14 X1 left, yes?
By the way, Keith Matthews passed away last year. He and I collaborated on a few projects and I barreled a few actions for him when he was between lathes. Great guy. Miss him.

This would have been my recommendation too. CV Guns is located just south of Fresno on Hwy 99. They do have a machine shop and build custom rifles. Not entirely certain they can or are willing to do the work you are asking for but, at least it's worthwhile contacting them.

THIS. Joe and Marvin are great. They are crazy busy right now, but give them a call and see what they can do.
