removing stripped screw from sgl 20

Wow, I just had the opposite experience. My SGL-20 (brand new) came without stock screws but with predrilled holes. Tried to put a Saiga buttstock screw in and stripped the head halfway down. I was able to get it back out. I may order buttstock screws from K-Var.NRA Benefactor Member -
i don't know why some sgl-20 are great and some have problems like missing screws.....Comment

Just a wild guess here. I completely understand a business having to keep costs down. Having said that my experience has been that when I pay peanuts I often get monkeys. If you can't explain it simply you don't understand it well enough. Albert EinsteinComment

I used a Dewalt Hammer Drill to get a stripped screw out of my Ruger. The impact driver is an excellent idea.Comment
