removing stripped screw from sgl 20

hi i have an sgl 20 and the rear stock screw is stripped when i tried to remove it. how do i remove it if it's stripped? when i tried to take it out it was extremely tight and then the screw head started to strip.

Wow, I just had the opposite experience. My SGL-20 (brand new) came without stock screws but with predrilled holes. Tried to put a Saiga buttstock screw in and stripped the head halfway down. I was able to get it back out. I may order buttstock screws from K-Var.

Just a wild guess here. I completely understand a business having to keep costs down. Having said that my experience has been that when I pay peanuts I often get monkeys.

I used a Dewalt Hammer Drill to get a stripped screw out of my Ruger. The impact driver is an excellent idea.
