    help with a stuck slide

I recently finished a 80% polymer 80 (G19). I trial fitted a Fowler Industries custom slide. Upon racking the slide, it became stuck. I've tried several times to remove the slide tradition way with no success. I was thinking of removing all the assembly pins to the locking block. Would this work to removed the slide without destroying the lower? Thanks in advance. Not sure where the slide is binding.

Do you have the slide lock in place (not the slide catch)? Is the slide stuck backwards or stuck in battery?

Did you trial fit it before installing the trigger housing and locking block and slide lock? It is best not to have any of this stuff installed at first, then slowly add parts one at a time and keep testing the slide operation. I would install the slide lock last in this process..

Anyhow let us know if the slide is stuck back or forward. If stuck backwards or if you can move it backwards, I would try and remove the striker plate and the striker assembly.

Lock the slide to the rear. Remove the slide cover plate on the rear of the slide.

The striker is probably caught on the cruciform (trigger sear).

Thank you, I will try that. The slide lock in the front is installed correctly.

Glad the advice helped. Building 80% pistols can be a challenge. Often stacking tolerances can be an issue. Different parts can cause issues as well as how the holes are drilled.

            It's fun but challenging.
