    CA compliant takedown alternative

Not sure if this belongs here ...

Has anyone found a good solution similar to the Juggernaut Hellfighter or ARMaglock Kingpin that works with a bottom fed detent AR-15 lower receiver? From what I can tell the aforementioned solutions, are designed solely for a standard rear fed detent.

I don't think there are any takedown pin type compliance devices sold for those non-standard receivers.
Best solution is to drill a detent hole from the rear of the reciever so that a standard part can be used.

    Most work performed while-you-wait.

Update: I contacted Juggernaut tactical and they actually sell a bottom fed version that just isnt listed on their website. You have to order standard one and mention bottom-fed in the Notes. I’ll update again once I receive and install.

Thanks for the alternative solution though Randall.

          What lower do you have?

I didn't know there were AR lowers with bottom fed detents. After searching around a bit I came across Windham and Brownell's BNR-180.

The BRN makes sense since there's no buffer tube.

The Windham blog I came across was their .308.

          Who knew!! (I certainly didn't).
