Spring tension release tool for Kimber 84 action / Triggertech Kimber 84 Trigger.

I need a spring tension removal tool (firing pin tool) for a Kimber 84 action. Right now it is an Mountain Ascent .308 model (but I also need 6.5 Creed and 30-06 if they are different). I have the threading at 20 tpi and the outside diameter as 0.400. Does anyone know someone that makes a tool or, if not, whether those figures are correct so I can make my own???

clarification

The tool I need can also be referred to as the "firing pin removal / installation tool". It's function is to remove the spring pressure so the firing pin can be installed or removed from the cocking piece housing.



Hopefully we have a member who is a gunsmith willing to share.

I like some of their designs, but Kimber is unfortunately pretty tight-lipped with regard to repair / improvement options. The spring issue is just one example.

You can use a vice.
All you have to do is push back on the firing pin to remove tension while you put the pin back in.

Thanks AR15barrels for your post. There was some additional information in there that I had lost and some other points I was looking to find. I think I will make the tool though, since it creates less risk of damaging parts than the brute force vice, etc. method. Also, patience tends to thin as you age. Thanks again my friend!
