    Torque Drivers

I'm looking to replace a Wheeler FAT Wrench with a more precise, higher quality torque driver. Do you all have a torque driver that you recommend? Any one used the new Smart Torq from Real Avid or the Vortex torque wrench?

    Torque Drivers

Most are plus or minus 6-10% accuracy. Gets really pricey to get down to about 2-3%. That said, I prefer my Vortex and Fix-it-sticks to my Wheeler.

Thank you Bete. Without having used it, the Vortex looks better on on paper to me because of the ability to adjust it in 1 in/lb increments. Would you say this is accurate or is the fix-it-sticks worth a closer look? One of the major issue I have with the wheeler is that getting to a number that doesn't end in 0 or 5 is guess work.

Look at good used USA made torque drivers on eBay.
You can often buy $200+ class tools for $30.

Some to look at are Utica and Sturtevant Richmont
        Randall Rausch

Most work done while you wait on a scheduled shop visit.

Got a Utica TS-35 (refurbished, calibrated) for $60 (retail $270-$300) on ebay. Thanks again barrels.
