    AR15 Barrel Nut Help

    First upper build:

Okay I pretty much finished my build, but I had to go to 80 ft. lbs. maybe slightly over to line up the holes for the gas tube. I did go to 30 ft.lbs (3) times. Would there be any potential problems if I leave it this way?

Larue's instructions just say to snug it up 3 times, then tighten until the next hole lines up. That may be just slightly under 30 ft. lbs. Would this be okay since Larue has that locking mechanism.

I am done with the build, but want to make sure my torque is not a problem.

As long as you did not bend or break anything, it's fine.

Thanks Randall. Nothing broken, nothing bent, and headspace checked out good. I will test fire it this weekend, hopefully she runs smooth.

      Thanks again.
