Adjustable sear is for when you replace the stock hammer to the aftermarket hammer. The aftermarket hammer changes the angles of the sear safety engagement. The adjustable sear alleviates the need to trim the stock sear to fit


With the SA variant you will notice a bigger improvement by changing the hammer than just changing the fpb out.

The only benefit of removing the fpb on the SA is for a shorter reset. But with all the newer kits from CGW, it makes more sense to retain it.


If you do still want to remove it you just need to knock out the firing pin retainer and take out the fpb, spring and re attach everything without the fpb. Remove the lifter in the frame and replace with a spacer or make one from the old lifter.
