If the barrel was Salt Bath Nitrided or any other process that hardens the surface, then you are going to have a much harder time getting someone to do it as the hardened surfaces damage tooling.
Many CMMG barrels DO have a hard surface treatment.
As an example, all 3 series of banshee's have SBN finished barrels:

Check out CMMG threads on the PCC AR15.com subforum. There are folks with the proper tool to fix this problem. OTOH, if you're using a Redding competition seating die it's very easy to tweak the OAL although since you're not using coated load you don't have the possibility of color coding your bullets.Originally posted by swiftoneWell shoot - I did not know what SBN stood for in the description prior to this.
