    1911 Sear, Damaged?

I have had this Kimber 1911 Eclipse for many years and had a trigger job done when new by the gunsmith that worked on everyone's
USPSA 1911 in this area, very good. It has 2-1/2 Lb target trigger that is outstanding, no creep & breaks clean.
All trigger parts replaced with Cylinder & Slide tool steel parts set. Removed all MIM parts.

While cleaning my Kimber 1911 Eclipse, I noticed a portion of the sear body missing.
Never noticed it before, could of been there, wondering if it broke off, or how they come from C&S.
I have not been able to reach my gunsmith to ask.

Pistol functions 100%, Thumb and grip safeties works as they should. Has had a few thousand 200Gr SWC shot, nothing but mild target loads.
Very hard to get good pictures closeup. I have put blue marker to show what I am asking about.

    Should I be concerned?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks ! That is what I was thinking. Did not want to have to replace the sear and mess with a trigger that I consider to be perfect.

It’s fine. Purposely cut in that fashion to fit your specific gun looks like. This is typical of fitting 1911 parts. Ain’t like putting an AR together!

Here is the Nighthawk sear I fit in my last 1911 build. I didn’t need to relieve that portion, but I had to file it in other ways.
