92FS trigger pull is heavier with slide on

Folks, not sure if this is supposed to be this way - I did a trigger job for my Beretta (thanks, MosinVirus for your videos!) and the trigger pull now is very clean and crisp 4.2 lbs, but only when the slide is off. When I put the slide on, it becomes 5+ lbs suddenly (but still very crisp). My other Berettas don't have this issue. What am I doing wrong?

The passive drop safety plunger is being pushed up.
    Luck favors the prepared.

The original battle plan did not survive initial contact with the enemy.

"The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt

You mean the firing pin block? Part 52 on the Numrich diagram https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-man...2-series/92fs?
Are there lighter replacement springs available? I tried just pushing it down with the punch and I didn't feel much resistance.
