            I thought it might be pinched from the sides by cerakote build up. It looks like the sear is not flat on the sides, like it is bowed out at the nose. Honestly I can't tell, focus and shadows from hell.

            OP still has not given us the setup scenario, is this the first assembly after Cerakote, or not?

            Anyhow I'm out - you are far more qualified and OP is very lucky to have your interest. And I am a photo Nazi, and my iPad is getting scared by the yelling I am doing at the screen

                        1911 help


                        The sear spring is no longer apply much if any pressure to the sear itself in this photo. But it was above. Also the sear is disconnected from the disco as you can see by the arrow.
