    Desert Eagle bilateral hammer peening

I stripped my Deagle today and noticed the hammer. Anyone else have this issue and do you know why it does this? I tried searching around and couldn't find anything.
Man, this place has gone bonkers.

Look inside the slide where the hammer strikes the firing pin and see if it's also striking the corners instead of on the flat face.
If it is striking the corners, round off the corners of the hammer until it lands on the flat face of the hammer without any corner impact.
