    Porting a G29

Anyone know where I could have a G29 ported?

I shot a 20c recently and it makes a huge difference in followup shots compared to a standard 20, so id like to port my 29 for obvious reasons.

Your best bet would be to get a barrel/brake combo that extends your barrel length and puts the ports at the muzzle instead of porting your existing barrel/slide.

Bar-Sto Barrels are the world's finest precision auto-pistol barrels, perfect for competition and taking your Glock handgun's accuracy to the next level, available through GlockStore.com

I had considered that but Id prefer to keep it as compact as possible.

I also dont want to deal with the dumb *** requirement of pin/welding a comp to the barrel since a threaded barrel is sooo dangerous.

      Thanks though randall.

If it is for self defense, porting is a bad idea

I think the common Glock solution is a longer lone wolf barrel and the 1/2” that sticks out past the end of the frame is ported.

The 23c factory has ports in the slide and barrel

So now you get to mill the slide and barrel. Then refinish the slide or slide cuts

That's why I also suggested the barrel with ports and no thread-on comp.

Have one of those lonewolf barrels for my g20, not what im looking for. Not sure how you think itd be an issue for SD, more accurate followup shot = less possible collateral damage. Depends on your IA I suppose.

Well aware of having to refinish it after having it ported, not an issue.

First link didnt show up initially sorry. Also not looking for an extended ported barrel, but i appreciate the links. Looks like the KKM barrels are threaded and comp secured with a set screw?

                I like to be stubborn!

                  My ears ring 24/7

A .357 stings the ears. A ported .357 will do real damage to the ears

Shooting indoors is worse as the SPL- sound pressure level bounces off of everything.

Shooting outside in the snow is very quiet - fluffy snow slams up sound

Porting just makes it too loud at the shooters ears

I have cut down the extended barrels with two ports so they just have one port and you only have a little more than 1/4" of barrel sticking out the front.
You wouldn't notice it compared to the stock barrel which usually sticks out around 1/10" already.

BarSto makes extended & ported barrels for some Glock models not sure about the 29.

As already mentioned, louder blast is an issue and the need for shooting glasses. You may need to shoot right away and not screw around looking for or putting on safety equipment.
