    Is this rust in barrel?

Is that bronze colored spot in the barrel rust..on my beloved marlin 60? If so what do I do..

The gun is old, I don't think it would be worth getting a new barrel for it. But I still enjoy shooting it.

    That's rust.
    Oil it to stop it.
    Clean it.
    Oil for storage.

I tried scrubbing it with a bronze brush and some ballistol. Any other suggestions? The pic was taken after scrubbing.

Try Remington Bore Cleaner. It should take most of it out. I use it to remove copper fouling in the barrel.

Its just a spot dont worry, soak it in a decent bore cleaner and let it sit for a day or so and as they say rinse and repeat if that dosnt solve the problem.

Just keep it oiled during storage so it won't continue.
If you had an outers foul-out, you could run a cycle and see if it takes some of it off but there's no fully eliminating it.
Now the game is just to stop future growth.

If it really bothers you you could always cut just a little bit off the end of the barrel off and have it re-crowned

... because let's face it, looks like someone was using the factory barrel crown as a cane tip anyway.

              Just joking.

                Then clean it.
