I'm currently stuck with a heap trash. My Mossberg 930jm pro bolt lock had a few pieces break off causing it to lock shut while loaded the guns already taken apart and ready for the part, but mossberg will not send me the part unless I have a cert. Or license for gunsmithing do to a bs company policy they will not ship any parts of the bolt assembly or trigger group assembly. has anyone else had this problem? I just want the fricken part to fix my gun i do not trust Mossberg anymore as this is the third time parts seem just to fall off "not joking about that", or break apart without any sign of abnormal wear, every gunsmith I talk to, wants to do a complete breakdown and assembly and all I want is the part. I dont care paying a little extra for time to order a part but im getting sucked into a long sell of crap the gun doesnt need does anyone know a gunsmith that can help in the greater sacramento area? Already talked to j and g but there customer service seems to lag and have a appointment with mustang firearms in grass valley but I'd rather just get the part!

Lol parts changer, sure if it makes you feel better about yourself! im a parts changer who chose his engineering degrees over a 850 dollar penn state gunsmithing certification. if you read further then your qoutes you would notice it says no abnormal wear. But I guess I also caused the charging handle to fall off cause my hulking strength made the crap weld break witch agian had inclusion in the weld from with poor prep of the part or bad shielding idk didn't make it and the third problem of the shell stop pivot pin falling out is also a common problem with the early production but idk how familar you are with the the 930 jm pro series or what you do for a living but by all means let me know what would cause a bolt to break without any signs of abnormal wear maybe it needs a new mainspring? But still need a new bolt lockComment

Why would a engineer by a 930 ? Did you not see better semiauto shotguns next to it ?
Whatever your reason, send it to Mossberg. Let them assume the liability to fix it, then sell it. Then you can buy another or something different, but at least you'll be rid of a potential lemon.Comment

But those are crummy shotguns, and someone good at math knows the law of averages and that if three parts failed so will the fourth.
