AMD-65 trigger problem

I've built tons of AK's (both from a flat and using NoDakSpud receivers) Mostly Romy's, but also Yugos and Bulgarians, and I've always used Tapco G2 Double hook triggers. I've just finished an AMD-65 build using a NoDakSpud AMD-65 receiver, and can't get the trigger to work properly. The first trigger I used was a Tapco G2 double hook trigger, and the hammer would not engage with the hooks on the trigger (would not go over the hooks no matter how hard I pressed the hammer down) I then used a Texas double hook trigger, and was able to get the hammer to go over the hooks, but will not disengage when the trigger is pulled. I don't have any single hook triggers, but will purchase one, if that is the solution. Thoughts?

Is the receiver cut for double hooks?
Are the hammer and trigger pin holes in the proper locations?
If you remove the hammer and disconnector and set the trigger in the window with just an axis pin holding it in place, does it travel through the full range of movement?
If you add the disconnector, does the trigger still have proper travel?

As above. I'm betting he didn't cut the receiver for the double hook type trigger. All nodak receivers are only cut for the single hook.

Check the trigger pin holes against your other builds

Just as I thought. The receiver only has the cut for the single hook. Next time you could just notch the rear of the trigger cut in the receiver to match the side with the cut for the single hook. It would then fit the double hook type triggers.
