Upper AK rails question

So, after my build I couldn't help noticing how horrible my upper rails looked. I used the stencil and the layout blue but it turns out the dremel is almost too squirrely for a precision job like this. Anyone use a different method for trimming the upper rails of their flats with a better result?

I cut mine with a dremil leaving extra metal and sneak up on my lines with a file

I used a Dremel to get close, then a flat file to finish. Just used Dremel along for the indented areas, first the fiberglass disc, the a stone wheel.
