    If you plan on re-barrel using a used GI barrel you will not need a finish reamer.. if you are going to use a new in wrap GI barrel 99.9999999999995 of the time you wil not need a finish reamer.. BUT.... if you are going to use a new cmmercial barrel you will most definately need a finish reamer. Hopeful you have access to a set of headspace gauges as you will need to check the headspace regardless what barrel you use.

      You will also need some way to ensure the barrel is timed properly. I've used the Badger Ordnance jigs with a Starrett machine level, but that will set you back a couple of hundred dollars with shipping.
