If you plan on re-barrel using a used GI barrel you will not need a finish reamer.. if you are going to use a new in wrap GI barrel 99.9999999999995 of the time you wil not need a finish reamer.. BUT.... if you are going to use a new cmmercial barrel you will most definately need a finish reamer. Hopeful you have access to a set of headspace gauges as you will need to check the headspace regardless what barrel you use.'Just Don't Point, Squint, and Laugh! '

You will also need some way to ensure the barrel is timed properly. I've used the Badger Ordnance jigs with a Starrett machine level, but that will set you back a couple of hundred dollars with shipping.

Unfortunately, I'm in the Santa Cruz area, not close to SoCal.Comment
