In 40SW I really like the the gun but the sights are not that great the rear sight is a target sight but the front is a fiber optic that's seen better days .since this is one of my first 1911 I have no clue what size this is I believe its a Novak sight but that's all I know any help would be appreciated

You can get replacement fiber inserts if that would work for you.
Explore handgun parts (1,551) at Brownells, including slides, barrels, and triggers to repair, upgrade, or customize your handgun for improved performance.

Otherwise maybe someone here knows what brands fit, or measure the dovetail and go shop at Brownell's again.

Amazon sells a front sight from fusion to fit the rock island dovetail. It is Not to spec depending on its age.

google dawson sights they sell front and back about $70 depending if you want fiber. They give you the install tool and have video on how to install easy to do done it myself.

          Call and talk to them.

You need to contact Armscor first, before buying sights. Armscor's "Novak" cut was not originally done to proper Novak dimensions. So, true Novak sights would not work. Several years ago, they change to proper Novak dimensions. So you need to contact Armscor with your serial number and see if your gun has proper sight dimensions.
My gun is about 5 years old, and has proper Novak dimensions. I've changed the original black on black Novaks to white dot. It's not hard to do, but getting the rear sight out can be difficult. They seem to use some kind of glue to hold it in.

Looks like you need to replace fiber optic insert on front sight. Inserts are inexpensive and readily available. Rear sight is already adjustable. Buy a new insert and be done with it.

Had these Trijicons (#600527) installed on my SA Loaded earlier this year.

It's a big change for me, as I've preferred low-profile Novaks, since they came on my S&W 1006 back in '91. But I'm getting the hang of them.

+1 Dawson, best in the sight business. See videos and decide for yourself.
