Yes, they worked for me. If you do a search, there's other folks that used other methods, i.e. rivets, dowels, kydex, etc.

I bought myself a single shot sled when I made my pistol years ago before all the insane laws happened 2013 and after; its a no brainer way to be sure it can never ever accept more than one and there is no grey area for interpretation of such.
