And didn't say what's already been tried.... *sigh*

Are we new at this "asking for help on the internet" thing?

If you don't open the post with an excruciatingly detailed description of what happened, the current situation to the best of your knowledge, and what's already been tried... you've opened the door for 100,000 questions on what you did, how you did it, the sequence you did it, whether there were witnesses, your level of experience, etc.

It's like saying "guys, I've got this thing, and it's messed up... what do I do?"

People tend to think you're a troll just trying to get the storm of 100k questions going, or someone so clueless they wouldn't benefit from a real answer anyway.

      Care to try again?

You didn't even say what kind of gun. You think someone is going to post a lengthy and detailed reply, containing their expert advice, just to have you come back with. " but that won't work on THIS kind of gun because blah blah blah it doesn't have blah blah blah... "

I looked back at the title and corrected my post accordingly. He did actually call out the gun.

There are a lot of ways to address the issue but it is hugely helpful to have more info and thus less wasting of the time of the collective Calguns mind. The OP really wasn't even a good stab at that. Not sure if that's inexperience or thoughtlessness... either way... you may as well say the answer is 42.

I'm assuming it's a live round stuck in the chamber of his gun. In which case YouTube how to use a grease gun to use pressure to pop it out.

pro tip: don't stand behind it, it will fly out.

Did somebody suggest a wood dowel? At least two idiots mention that idea every time someone asks about squibs....
