    Welding - Precision Needed

I have a sear for a Browning Superposed that needs a very fine edge built up - maybe less than 1/32 of an inch. I need somebody with probably a TIG that can run a VERY small bead across 1/4 inch length.

I can file/fit it, but need somebody who is comfortable/proficient doing the actual welding.

Anybody have any leads on who could do this? Browning is 4-6 months out for service times.

I tried finding the part online, but all of the stock parts will not work on my gun since it is one of the very first ones built.

There's more to this than just welding up the edge.
After you re-fit the part, it's going to have to be re-hardened as it's going to get annealed during welding.

If it was any other part I would volunteer our services, but welding on a sear is a VERY high liability thing.

Well, you could weld it up with a "hard facing" rod but not likely to be precise or that thin --- If only a few thou is needed perhaps plating would work --

Any chance you could anneal, peen it up, and dress the edge, and reharden? Otherwise you might just try duplicating the part.
