    SKS trigger group

Man the one i have [ Chinese ] is not made to come apart. All those pressed in pins will not budge. Part of the trigger broke at the trigger return spring. A replacement trigger group is about 130 bucks on line. Some are cheaper but always out of stock.
I did partially get it apart but those pins will not budge even with a small press.

I was able to disassemble my Chinese SKS trigger group. Wonder if there is a difference?

Here is one for 100.00, also you can just buy the trigger and pin and drill the existing pin out with straight flute carbide drill from MSC https://www.mscdirect.com/

              Op

It stinks when things break... as this is WECSOG.... can you tell us about your project?

Why did you decide to take apart the trigger group?
              What part broke?
              How did it break?

              What is the end goal?

              Pics?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
              (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

At the range it just would not function. Trigger was loose.Removed trigger group and found trigger return spring laying their not connected to anything.I do not know the name of the part but it is a metal tab that pivots on its own press pin and it holds the trigger return spring in place. The tab was broken in half .
The crazy part is Every pin i try to remove is so tight it is almost like it is staked but it is not.
The pin at the front of the trigger group that retains the mag release is so tight i was distorting the frame of the trigger group so badly trying to remove this pin i just stopped trying.

this is the first SKS i ever had a problem with.I like them and i keep them clean and oiled.

Never mastered putting pics on calguns, even my computer savvy wife hates trying to do it.

Have you considered sending the tg off to Tom Prince at Kivaari SKS triggers?
He does great SKS trigger work and can fix what you have and really improve the trigger for a pretty good price.

                      Check out his site http://www.kivaari.com/
