    why?

I'm still learning the ropes on the Ak build steps, but why do you need to remove the barrel from the front trunion?, couldn't you leave it installed and rivet it in on one piece?

you remove it, then install it again after you rivet the trunion to the bent blank. Is this just to make installing the front trunion easier?.

    Sorry for the stupid question,

Once you have the rivets removed, you won't be able to rivet it back in if the barrel is in place unless you want to do a screw build.

You could also leave it in & do a weld build

          ak build

a total of 4 rivets are located inside the trunion where the barrel is installed. You can do a screw/weld build without removing the barrel.

using the bbl. as a bucking bar for the trunnion rivets doesn't work well. the bbl. should be pulled for screws as well (how far can i drill into my barrel?)
