Ive been contemplating building a galil or 2 the receiver being 500 bucks is what makes me hesitant. Seen on another forum were folks were rewelding the torched receivers using a fabricated welding jig. Anyone have a welding jig for these if so id like to purchase one.

I don't think there was ever a commercially produced jig for rewelding.
People made their own.
With the advent of commercially made receivers, I don't think anyone rewelds Galil receivers anymore.
Just buy a Tortort.Randall Rausch

If you have the skills to properly reweld and machine a Galil reciever, building a jig should be the easy part.Comment

I bought a welding jig online. Found a guy on a different forum who machined only two to sale. I have a couple of good demilled receivers and have welded one. And I also bought a Tortort. For that one I found a guy who machined the lightening cuts and scope mount. I also talked him into making a jig to cut out the tigger and grip cuts. They may be out there. Just do some searching.Comment
