    MAS36 Century .308 Conversion

    Hi all,

I bought a Century-converted .308 French MAS36. I've fired a few shots and I was reading many people complaining about accuracy. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to determine: 1) if the modifications (i.e., head-spacing) are properly done, 2) a way to check if the cartridge is properly seated, and 3) if future machine work is needed. Thanks kindly.

    Shoot it to check accuracy.

Buy or borrow go/nogo gauges to check if the rifle headspaces correctly (or have a smith check it for you.) That will take care of 1 and 2.

For 3, assuming you get there, shoot it and see if it's adequate for your intended purpose.
