    a2 front sight removal ?

I'd like to remove the a2 fixed sight on my rifle and install a railed gas block
so I can use a flip up front sight. The a2 sight has peened pins which I have no problem in dealing with. Which gas block should I look into getting and what type of metal ?? 4 rail block so I can mount a bipod and flip up front sight. Are aluminum gas blocks not preferable ??

I went with a YHM flip on my carbine and like it:

They also make a model with a rail on the bottom: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=347577

i just cut my front sight down and turned it into a gas block so to speak. i had to use a little longer rail to cover up what was left of the old sight and i used a rail mounted flip up front sight.
