Magazine disconnect safety - does it affect trigger feel?

Hi folks. I'm looking into purchasing a .22LR pistol strictly as a range gun, and this particular one (GSG 1911-22) has a magazine disconnect safety.

Most of, if not all of the reviews I've read/watched mark this as a negative and recommend removing it.

My question is - on this gun or guns in general - does removing the mag disconnect safety alter the feel/break of the trigger?

No, but it could cost you your life if you need to fire and in a struggle the mag release got tapped and the mag slipped down.
On a free-state gun, you'd at least be able to get one shot off.

In general, magazine disconnect safeties do not effect the feel of the trigger pull.
The one that effects trigger pull is firing pin drop safeties that use a plunger that is activated by the trigger pull.

Some mag disco safeties do affect the trigger feel, the one that immediately comes to mind is the Browning Hi Power. Most of them don’t though.

It all depends on the gun and specifically the way the mag disco is designed and works. I don’t think the GSG 1911 trigger will change by removing mag disco. I removed mine many years ago so I can’t remember.
