    AR Ejection port door help

Well, I ordered one of those nifty Noveske ejection port doors. It came today and low and behold the pin for the door is installed from front to back. So from what I can tell, I have to remove the gas block, hand guard, tube, and barrel to get it out.............

I have ZERO clue as to what I'm doing here. Never taken a gun apart more then standard cleaning. I did a search, and I couldn't really find what I was looking for. I'm handy with tools due to my career of wrench turning, questions are,

1: What, if any special tools do I need.

2: Being inexperienced, is there a good chance I can screw something up and ruin something or make my rifle dangerous to fire?

3: What would this cost to have installed at a knowledgeable gun smith. (If anyone is going to learn on my rifle its me!)

Thanks in advance guys for your advice!

You said it, all needs to be removed. Ar 15 and calguns have the diy sites. Tools you need are a barrel wrench, torque wrench and allens or punches to get it done. Ask around there is probably a calgunner that can help you out. luck

Extra Special Thanks to Cal gunner CRZ for informing me that the stop on the end of the pin was infact the worlds smallest C clip and not a stop machined into the pin. I had it done in about a minuet with his help! He saved me from dropping off my upper at the shop.
