Sorry for the dumb question, but I put nightsights on a CZ. Required taking out the roll pin that holds the front sight and the barrel bushing and broke it in the process. No problem, went online and the CZ forums said it was 5/64 x 3/8 inch roll pin, ordered a little bag of them for a couple bucks on ebay. Not sure if I got the wrong length, but when I drove it in, it's too long and sticks out both sides (more so on one side). Pretty sure this isn't a functional problem and I'm not OCD about my firearms, but what's the easiest way to clip off the end of a tiny roll pin?

I do my pin shortening on a bench grinder.
Hold the pin in a power drill and spin it while grinding and you will get a nicely square ended pin.Randall Rausch

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Get the right length or take it out and trim it down. Don't heat it up too much which grinding. Lightly chamfer the trimmed edges. Reinsert.
Do NOT try to trim it while it's in the gun. I can almost guarantee you'll buggerup the gun.

This method also gets you double points on your Man Card because you are using not just one but two power tools at the same time.
