    replacing lower receiver...

In order to put a new receiver on a listed AR that a friend sent out of state I want to tell him about buying an off list lower so he can bring it back. Is he going to be able to get all the parts off the old lower? One thing that comes to mind is how do you get the front pivot pin out? Any glitches anybody can think of? I'm going to tell him that he needs an off list lower and bullet button, hopefully not a new lower parts kit.

Stripping a reciver bare is easy.

front pivot pin out....Pull it out like in take down mode..

Use a paper clip and come in from behind the pin and you will see a hole.
Insert and push in and withdraw pin taking care not to lose the detent and spring flyin across the room.

It may be wise to get a bolt catch and roll pin and a trigger guard and roll pin. Leave those on the old one just for ease and no chance of scratching or breaking things.

            Dates...

I suppose a quicker way would be to find out if he took it out of state prior to registering it as an AW...i suppose that if he had registered it as such in the PRK then he would be OK bringing it back in...

That being said, I am not in any way shape or form, a lawyer. just thinking logically, somthing the legislature of this once great state, no longer has the capacity to do.

He got out and he's coming back in...glutton.

            Sorry, long day at work.
