1911 Recoil & Main spring help

So I was watching this vid on 1911 tune up and the way this guy is able to rack his slide and hammer caught my eye.

watch how easily his is to operate

Does anyone have any idea what the weights might be he's using for main and recoil springs, bc theres no way I can pull my slide and hammer back that easily!!

Theres nothing wrong with my slide and rails, nor the hammer
Hammer is hard to cock by hand, you can feel tension from the m-spring.
When hammer is back, the slide is hard to rack, so its not an issue of "its your hammer & m-spring"

Aside from that video Ive noticed ones that are easy in other how to vids and even in movies

HEAT https://youtu.be/PGym1iVaWoY?t=17s what wt are the springs being used?

For those who will ask, spring set I have in my TM Recon are Wilson Combat

    Suggestions?

Go here and experiment with different weight Main, and Recoil springs
The standard recoil spring weight is 16#, looks like you are running 18.5#
to start with and it states the spring pack is Extra Power so that would include the Mainspring which would make it harder to cock. I have run 19# on the Main spring with out problems.

According to WC site the hammer spring is 18lb too, what do most 1911's (Colt, Kimber, Springfield) come with?

Im shooting winchester 45 acp 230 gr, and for my reloads I've been following this recipe
      IMR SR 4756 .452" 1.200" 6.3 813 14,200 CUP 6.8 892 16,400 CUP

      (My loads avg 6.5-6 grs)

Movie guns are setup different than guns that fire actual projectiles.
They can dramatically weaken the springs because they are running so much lower pressures from the lack of projectile.

Understood but still the DIY vid, theres no way I can operate my slide that easily. While mine is not, guys Ive seen operating race guns look even easier to rack... can I cut few loops off the spring?

I have a standard MilSpec 1911. No special springs. I can rack the slide the same as the vid you posted.

I would not cut coils on your springs. Have a gunsmith look at it and give you some advice.

The interaction of your disconnector with the underside of the slide as well as the radius on the bottom off the hammer stop and undercutting the hammer to make it easier to cock will ALL effect how easy the slide is to cycle.
These things are commonly done on race guns.

Standard .45ACP recoil spring power is 16#
Standard .45ACP mainspring power is 23#

Making it easier for the slide to move rearward and cock the hammer will make the recoil sharper in my opinion.

Can we see a picture of your firing pin stop? Specifically is the bottom edge of the firing pin stop chamfered/radiused or square?

Ill go simple route, swap recoil out for 16lb and see how things go.

Are you keeping the 18# mainspring?

                        FS 1911 45acp:
                        16# recoil
                        19# main
Still will require effort to cycle side manually. Develop reflex to manually cock then rack at the range.
